6-Week Beginner Handbuilding Course: Pinch, Coil & Slab Come play with clay! Over 6 weeks, we’ll explore pinch pots, coil building, slab techniques, and glazing. It’s hands-on, relaxed, and a chance to make things you’ll actually love using or giving. No stress, no strict rules, just a space to get creative and try new techniques. To maintain a high-quality, hands-on learning experience, this class is designed for up to 8 students with solo instruction. I love keeping classes small so everyone gets hands-on help. If we fill beyond 8 students, I’ll have an assistant on hand to make sure nobody misses out on guidance. Week 1: Pinch Pots – Make small bowls, planters, or fun forms. Week 2: Pinch + Coil – Build taller shapes by combining techniques. Week 3: Glaze & Experiment – Try out glazing and surface designs. Week 4: Slab with Template – Create mugs and prep slabs for boxes. Week 5: Finish Boxes – Assemble and shape slab boxes. Week 6: Glaze & Finishing – Add glazes and final touches. Work at your own pace and let your creativity guide you! **Finished pieces will be available approximately 4 weeks after last class. Ages 14+. Price is $315 per person. Clay, glaze, and tools are included.
